Yunomi for AKAR

The maiolica colorants are applied onto the unfired glaze, working, first, with areas to be waxed, then with the larger color areas.  Details are added last.

Getting ready to decorate:

I am taking photos of our compost pile in the bricked garden that Peter made for us---we move the pile around every year, and this time we circled some old wire.  This afternoon I'll be decorating the glazed yunomi (every day tea bowls) for the AKAR Gallery, using the compost as inspiration.
